Hi all! Really quick. Everyone is still doing great and working really hard. The internet situation is really tough. We have almost no cell phone service; it comes and goes in really random places and when we have it, it is maybe half a, half a bar. I am currently plugged into a wireless router at what would be a recreation center (also has a movie theater) sitting on the floor (at least its cool.) We showered here yesterday (the church showers and water smell like sulfur which is a whole other story and post later) and tried to get online but the wireless part of the wireless router isn’t working….hmmmm ok.

The McDonalds wifi is much more of a NOfi….it doesn’t work. The flood that happened Saturday night messed with all sorts of Micky D’s machinery. Their phone lines and servers are all wacky and we were told just as we walked in that they “ain’t got no cheeeken ur feeeeesh ehnd nuttin’ friiiiiiid” …the water messed with their fryer and it couldn’t get up to temperature to fry any of those foods.

For those that are wondering, that is why our posts have been slim. Worktrip Rule #1: the only sure thing on worktrips is that nothing is a sure thing. Rule #2: Be flexible. The new, new, new plan is to blog and if we come to shower, I will upload the posts. You should be seeing a bunch more posts coming (probably tomorrow.)

I think that is it. Again, everyone is  working hard and doing well and making a diefference (and yes Carly is still killing me in hearts.)

Later!

Sounds like you all are seeing a lot more of McDonalds than normal. We will quiz you on the menu when you get home.

Hi to you all! Enjoying Larry’s limited updates, especially his translations of the WV accents. Sounds like an adventure, as always! Thanks for taking your big hearts (and strong backs) cross country to do good work — it sounds like there’s lots to do. Stay safe, keep us posted when you can, and we’ll keep you in our prayers!

P.S. was Cole able to find a headband big enough for his head???
