Work Day 4 – Glacier Camp – June 18
In the morning my group was assigned to fixing more fences. My group has really gotten good at working together and coming up with a plan to solve these little work problems. Other groups were assigned to working on the wall, the horseshoe pit, kitchen and screens for all the windows. We made quick work of the fences so we migrated to the wall and ended up working a bit with Sheri. My group has been lucky enough to snag the iPod player every day so its enjoyable to work with music…even if I do have to endure Connor and Patrick’s dance breaks (I’ve seen “The Jerk” and “The Stanky Leg” more than I care to talk about.) Today is Lee Small’s birthday, so we had pie and ice cream. After dinner, the rest of us headed out to the ropes course. I was proud of everyone as they tackled the rope elements. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be and I spent a good 10 minutes hanging upside down wondering how I was going to climb back up. I’m exhausted, it’s 3 am, and I am off to bed.
