Hello this is Lee talking about the fun in the canoe yesterday. So we bought some cement blocks to anchor down the thing known as THE BLOB (which is aptly named cause it looks just like a blob). So we learned how to make knots and we hooked up ropes to the would be anchors. It went very swimmingly. Once we managed to get the anchors on the dock (which wasn’t very easy on my part) we needed to attach them to the blob so we can use it. So the blob needed moving closer to the dock. Some one had the bright idea of canoeing out. After some process of elimination it was me and Mackenzie that were going out. We were trying on different size life vests which wasn’t very easy. The large were to large and the medium should have been labeled extra small. After we got some life vests on we were about to depart on an easy trip when David and Casey came up wanting to go canoeing too. So we managed to get some help departing. That was where the fun started. Mackenzie the leader was in front. Then David, me, and Casey bringing up the rear. I realized ( and everyone else) that the boat was going to tip over. The boat was rocking A LOT trying to clear the dock. It was very hard to clear the dock because there were some communication problems between the front and rear. Mackenzie was yelling commands like “Backwards left!!!!!!!!” (which means paddle backwards on the left side). Casey had no clue what she was talking about and freaked out. I couldn’t do anything because I wasn’t in the back. Then the killer waves came up out of nowhere once we magically clear the dock somehow. then the boat capsized on us. Everyone else were freaking out that the water was freezing but I wasn’t cold at all, so I just floated there laughing my head off because it was the most hilarious thing ever. We managed to get out and someone had another bright idea of swimming over and bringing the blob to the deck. We all agreed that that was the ULTIMATE lunchtime story ever.
