Sorry I haven’t written anything for a little while. Well, we’re right at 16 days from the start of our trip.

I’m getting very excited. I’ve gotten most of my travel items (with a giant help from my parents and sister…thanks!) The list seems to never stop growing though.

As I sit, random things pop into my head…
- Allergy Medicine (who knows maybe I’m allergic to banana tree pollen-if banana trees even have pollen.)
- M&M’s (I was told that whenever kids see us arrive they will swarm around us, so I’ll head to CostCo to get a big bag of them.)
- Another Camera Battery (I’m currently in New Mexico, which is beautiful by the way, and while at White Sands I got the dreaded red battery low light. “Ah,” I thought to myself, “I better not run out of battery and not get to capture this!” So I definately don’t want to run out in Africa.)
- Socks (Yeah, pretty sure I don’t have 17 pairs of socks, although my sister did give me 3 pair of very nice lightweight, cool weather hiking socks. “You don’t want to get a blister, it will ruin your whole trip,” says she.)
