Humid, Hot, Hair Frizzing
Hola!
Kenna and Hadley and Kelsey here.
Hello Parents, it is humid, it is hot, it is hair frizzing…and yet somehow we have all made it though the week. With one day of work left I do believe we ladies speak for everyone on the trip that it is a relief that we will soon be out of the humid bug infested hair frizzing air. This week we have built a cement porch (which is now Kelsey and Hadley’s new fall back career), mudded out a house, built a roof, cleaned and sanitized, painted, found fun-mud and created fun-topia!, painted, built a roof on the previously mentioned cement porch, went on a mine tour, and spent a memorable day in the sun at Water Ways. This trip is one for the memory books, I (Kelsey) have met new people and reconnected with old friends, I have made new friends that I know will help me make some more amazing memories in the trip to come! We are all proud to say that we have all been getting along quite well, there are a lot of personalities in this group and at times it can be hard but we all know that we are here for a good reason and we are all bonding over the hard work and sweat! We are also proud to say this computer is the first piece of technology we have come in contact with in six days short of our iPods, which we have been listing to non-stop. Yesterday, when we were on our way to the mines, which turned out to be a FOUR hour trip we rocked out too some new stuff, and we even pulled the oldies out from the Spice Girls, and Blondie too East Side Boys, and Kanye West! Tonight was game awesome and it was awesome awesome awesome! The Water Park: I don’t believe ANY OF US have been flipped over and over and over that many times ever, or swallowed that much water in one day. It was a wonderful day meeting the locals and talking with them, and bonding with our trip-mates. (Ian says Hello! and his hair is very very messy) Tomorrow is a bitter-sweet day, we are saying goodbye to Larry for this year because he needs to get back for a wedding, he will be dearly missed, we know tears were shed when the Seniors presented him with his award and gift this evening.!
Well Goodnight all, we will see you soon!
Love,
Kenna, Hadley, and Kelsey!
